All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

Colleen Hoover is beginning to become one of my favorite authors. So far I have loved everything of hers that I've read. Confess had me in a mess of emotions from the first page to the last (I was in tears reading the first chapter), unable to put it down.

Confess is written in dual POV, switching between Owen and Auburn. This gives you a view on what both of them are feeling throughout the book. They both come from the same but different backgrounds, both experiencing so much heartache in the twenty one years they've been alive. Together they're able to face that heartache along with even more.

There were so many parts to this book that I loved. One being the inspiration behind Owen's paintings. All the confessions he receives are what inspires his art, and the fact that Colleen included real confessions submitted by readers makes it even cooler. Now lets take a moment to talk about Owen Gentry. He's beautiful and an artist with a major attraction to Auburn. He has some pretty big secrets that can threaten everything Auburn has been working towards, but their attraction towards each other is something worth risking everything for. I loved Auburn, she was determined to get her life together and work endlessly towards what she wants. She's willing to sacrifice her own feelings for those she loves. Even if that means not being with Owen.

"I'll love you even when I can't"

This book was total insta-love. I'm kinda in between on my feelings for insta-love. In this case, it kind of worked. Owen and Auburn both needed that one person they could feel comfortable with and for them it was with each other. Auburn showed up in just the right amount of time to save Owen.

Confess is a perfect example of love, loss, and longing. Auburn is risking her love to do whats right and Owen is beating himself up for his past decisions. The two are able to enjoy stolen nights together but Owen's choices prevent them from staying together.

If you love tear jerkers and romance, give anything by Colleen Hoover a chance. You wont be disappointed.
